Why We Exist
The problem wasn't the phone. It was the options.
The problem isn't that students have phones. The problem is that schools have been left with a narrow set of choices: physically collect every device and manage the logistics, or rely on inconsistent individual enforcement.
We built Zonifyr because we believe a better third option exists — one that uses software to apply context-aware device rules based on where students are and what they are expected to be doing.
Zone → Schedule → Policy.
Three concepts that let the school day determine device behavior — automatically, fairly, and without requiring teachers to police phones themselves.

SchoolSafeZone — a related nonprofit initiative — focuses on advocating for practical, thoughtful approaches to student phone use that respect both educational needs and family communication. Zonifyr and SchoolSafeZone share a founding vision but operate with distinct purposes.
