Zonifyr Family helps parents publish approved settings for a paired child iPhone using Apple Family Controls. A school recommendation does not grant a school control over a child’s device.
Account help
Open My Children to sign in or create a parent account. Use Parent Account to check your identity, sign out, or delete your account. Unlink removes one Zonifyr child relationship; Delete Account removes the parent account. Neither changes Apple Family Sharing.
Enrollment and authorization
Use an authorized Zonifyr enrollment invitation to link a child. Linking is separate from Apple’s parent/guardian authorization. To use child-device controls, complete the supported Apple Family Sharing and Family Controls setup on the intended device. Settings saved on one phone do not prove that another phone is protected.
Pairing and publishing
On the parent iPhone, open the child’s settings and Set Up Child Device. Generate a private pairing code. On the child iPhone choose Child, scan the QR or enter its code, preview the child and school, and approve setup. Codes expire after ten minutes and can be used once. Generate a new code after expiry or revocation. Pairing does not replace Apple’s guardian approval.
Review and publish settings on the parent iPhone, then tap Refresh Approved Settings in Child Mode. If publication cannot be confirmed, tap Retry Connection, review the current choices, and publish again. Child Mode shows authorization, configuration, schedule, zone and local focus state. Parents do not receive live child-device status.
If pairing does not finish
If camera access is unavailable, enter the pairing code manually. Keep both phones connected during setup. If the preview shows the wrong child or school, cancel and ask the parent to generate a code from the correct child. After an expired or already-used code, generate a new invitation. For a connection error, retry and review the preview before approving. Never share a pairing code publicly.
Offline and revoked devices
The last verified settings can work offline for up to 24 hours, bounded by their expiry. A revoked iPhone needs new pairing. Restrictions clear when it receives revocation or runs a local expiry check. Changes and clearing are not immediate while offline. Review Apple Family Controls and location permissions on the child iPhone when local setup is unavailable.
Schedules and catalog
Review the selected child before changing schedules or controls. Only verified, available catalog records can be saved as preemptive app restrictions. Catalog coverage is limited. Offline results may be older; a pending record cannot become enforceable merely because it appears in search.
Service or device problems
If sign-in or search is unavailable, check connectivity and retry. Remote service failure does not establish a child-device problem. Review authorization and local settings on the device. Remote protection/status alerts are not active in this release. Zonifyr is not an emergency or safety-monitoring service.
