1. Overview
Zonifyr provides distinct products for school phone-policy operations, parent-controlled personal-device tools, institutionally managed devices, and community recognition. Each product is governed by the authority of the user or institution that legitimately controls the relevant device, record, or workflow.
2. Product Boundaries
- Zonifyr Schools helps schools and districts design and operate phone-policy and related school-authorized workflows. It does not remotely control or verify restrictions on ordinary personally owned student phones.
- Zonifyr Family is parent/guardian controlled. Schools do not receive Family Controls, Screen Time, app selections, restriction state, or personal-device usage telemetry.
- Zonifyr Managed applies only to school-owned or legitimately institutionally managed devices. It is built within Apple's approved MDM framework. Android Enterprise support is in development subject to applicable enrollment modes, platform requirements, and customer authority.
3. School and District Responsibilities
- Define and administer lawful school policies, eligibility rules, and staff workflows
- Use Zonifyr Schools only for authorized educational/administrative purposes and ensure users have appropriate roles
- Provide required notices, consents, contractual approvals, and access controls for school data and managed devices
4. Parent and Guardian Role
- Parents/guardians independently control Zonifyr Family configuration on personally owned devices.
- Parents/guardians may acknowledge school policies and select available school compliance methods, but a digital-method declaration is not technical verification that a personal phone is currently restricted.
- Access to school records concerning a child is subject to the school relationship, verified guardian authorization, and applicable law.
5. Student Use
- Students must follow applicable school rules and use Zonifyr services only as authorized by the relevant school, parent/guardian, or institution.
- Zonifyr does not create a universal behavioral score or use Family-device telemetry as a school disciplinary signal.
6. Data and Privacy
Data rights, permitted uses, retention, sharing, and product-specific data boundaries are described in the Privacy Policy and applicable school/district agreements. Ownership and control of education records will be handled according to applicable law and contract rather than a blanket statement that one party owns every category of data.
7. Acceptable Use
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access, bypass account/security controls, interfere with service operation, or use Zonifyr to surveil or manage devices beyond the authority granted by the applicable platform, customer agreement, or user relationship.
- Do not upload or disclose information you are not authorized to provide.
- Do not use Zonifyr for unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, or unauthorized monitoring purposes.
8. Service Availability
Zonifyr services may change as products move through pilot, platform approval, and general availability. Features described as in development, planned, or approval-dependent are not guaranteed to be available until formally released.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Any warranties, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and remedies should be finalized by counsel and reflected in the production agreement applicable to the customer or user relationship.
10. Termination
- Schools, districts, parents/guardians, or Zonifyr may terminate applicable services subject to the governing agreement and product-specific process.
- Data return/deletion following termination will follow the Privacy Policy, applicable law, and the controlling school/district agreement where relevant.
11. Modifications
Zonifyr may update these terms as products, platform requirements, and legal obligations evolve. Material changes will be communicated as required.
